Understand the indicators
Magnitude is not shaking intensity. A tsunami flag is not a confirmed tsunami or warning. A NASA open event is not proof of continuing danger. GDACS alert levels are not interchangeable with magnitude or NASA catalog status.

Missing reports do not establish an absence of disasters. We do not infer casualties, losses, affected radii, forecasts or disaster predictions. Check source agencies for revisions and follow current local guidance.
